Smart Day 2017 Tackles Soybean Inputs, Crop Insurance, Tracks vs Tires And Much More - Register Today

Jul 14, 2017

Manitoba Pulse & Soybean Growers (MPSG) is pleased to announce that its highly anticipated Soybean Management and Research Transfer (SMART) Day is taking place on Wednesday, July 19 at the Canada-Manitoba Crop Diversification Centre in Portage la Prairie.

SMART Day is an all-day educational opportunity for farmers and agronomists to sharpen their soybean management skills. Attendees will tour agronomic research plots, interact with researchers and production specialists and learn how results can be applied to their farms.

Are tracks better than tires? Do air reels, ground speed or cutting anlge affect harvest loss? What research is being done to update crop insurance for soybeans? What input packages will impact yield and profitability?

This year’s SMART Day will address these questions and many more. Register today!

“Soybean acres have increased rapidly in Manitoba, so it’s important that growers remain up-to-date on research and best management practices,” says MPSG Production Specialist Cassandra Tkachuk. “SMART Day is a great opportunity for farmers and agronomists to sharpen their skills and gain knowledge directly from the experts in the field.”
