Putting pork in the spotlight at the 2025 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair

Oct 06, 2025

This November, Ontario Pork is making a big impact at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair (RAWF) from November 7–16. From the dining table to the classroom, we’re showcasing the care, science, and innovation behind pig farming in Ontario.

Pork on the Menu at the Chef’s Table

Ontario-raised pork will be front and center at the RAWF’s Chef’s Table Dining Series on Thursday, November 13th. Leading Canadian chefs will craft dishes that highlight the versatility and quality of our product. What makes this experience unique is the chance for guests to sit down with Ontario pork producers. These conversations build personal connections, answer questions about animal care and farming practices, and show why pork is such a great meal choice for Ontarians.

The Pig Education Centre – Bigger and Better

We’re doubling our space at the Pig Education Centre to welcome more than 12,000 students, and over 80,000 families and visitors from across the GTA. With the help of our Hambassadors, the Centre will come alive with daily presentations and hands-on activities. In addition to the Pig Mobile, visitors can:

  • Step into the feed manufacturing process, exploring how grains, vitamins, and minerals are blended into balanced diets that keep pigs healthy.
  • Test their knowledge in Everything but the Oink, an interactive game where everyday items, like marshmallows, crayons, and shampoo show how pigs contribute far beyond the plate. The activity highlights the science, sustainability, and innovation that ensure every part of the pig is put to use, with nothing going to waste.

Together, these experiences give students and families a deeper appreciation of the care farmers put into raising pigs and the many ways pork supports our daily lives.

By investing in opportunities like the Royal, Ontario Pork is making sure your story is told in meaningful, memorable ways, building trust, sparking curiosity, and keeping pork top of mind with consumers.
