OSU preps for rural economic conference

The OSU Alumni Center in Stillwater is buzzing in anticipation of the upcoming Rural Economic Outlook Conference on October 11. An event tailor-made for those keen on the nuances of agricultural economics, it promises to be an enlightening affair. 

Starting the day off at 8 a.m. with breakfast, attendees can expect an action-packed schedule till 3:30 p.m. Brent Ladd, an OSU extension specialist, highlighted the meticulously chosen speakers for the event. While OSU's own faculty members will share their expertise, the stage will also welcome outside experts, notably Bart Fischer from Texas A&M and Chief Meteorologist Brian Bledsoe from KKTV 11 News. 

The conference is designed to cater to a broad spectrum of attendees, from producers to policymakers. With topics ranging from drought effects on cattle to grain market trends and research updates, the conference is set to provide a holistic view of agricultural economics.
