In the food processing sector, The County Bounty Artisanal Soda Co. stood out for its unique products, while Loft 32 in Guelph was hailed for women's excellence, showcasing the critical role women play in agriculture. The youth category shone the spotlight on Arthur Lin's Lavender Polo Farm, emphasizing the future of farming with young leadership.
Educators like Dr. Rose Buitenhuis and Progressive Dairy in Guelph brought home the prize for agri-food education, emphasizing the importance of knowledge transfer and learning in agricultural progression. Northern Ontario's business acumen was represented by AgriTech North, proving that innovation thrives across all geographies.
Indigenous excellence was notably celebrated with Moose Cree First Nation, which reflects the unique intersection of tradition and agriculture. Family-run farms, such as Snyder’s Family Farm Ltd. and Everlily Maples Farm, were recognized for their dedication to fostering community and heritage in their agricultural practices.
Promotional efforts by the Rural Agri-Innovation Network and Eat Local Huron reflected the power of advocacy in increasing public engagement with local agriculture. The Chicken Farmers of Ontario exemplified excellence in managing supply chains efficiently.
