Officials Pleased With Crop Sphere

Organizers for last week’s Crops Sphere in Saskatoon are pleased with the event.

About 600 producers and industry reps took in the two day event at TCU Place.

Crop Sphere spokesman Carl Potts says next year’s event will be moved out to Prairieland Park and the Western Canadian Crop Production Show.

"We've actually found a way to move all our concurment sessions, so the sessions that run back to back at Prairieland in the existing space and be able to find a way that growers that are out attending the show can also come in and pick the sessions they want to participate in."

Agriculture Manager Lori Cates says once again exhibit space at the show was sold out adding that she has a waiting list of companies who would like to take part.

Cates says with the growing demand the Park is looking at possibly expanding its facility.

"We're very much right now in the process of putting a plan together to have another building on the park as soon as possible. If I had my way it would be very quickly but we understand these sort of things take time."

No official expansion has been announced for Prairieland as yet.
