Nutrien working on increasing potash production

Nutrien is expanding production in Saskatchewan.

President and CEO Ken Seitz says they are planning to increase the province's annual potash production from 15 million tonnes to 18 million by 2025.

The increased production is expected to come from the Lanigan, Allan and Vanscoy mines.

Nutrien operates six mines in the province.

Timing of the expansion is key with Russia's war in Ukraine there's been a growing concern over fertilizer production.
