Today’s announcement is recognition of the importance of beef production in our province.
MBP continues to work with governments, Manitoba Agricultural Services Corporation and other commodity groups on the development of timely programs and strategies to help producers deal with the drought’s immediate effects. MBP is also looking ahead at steps that will be needed to assist with recovery when the drought conditions start to subside.

KAP welcomes the announcement that the provincial government is investing $62 million into the AgriRecovery program to support Manitoba’s livestock producers. KAP will continue to work with the provincial government, Manitoba Agricultural Services Corporation and Manitoba's farm organizations to ensure that programs address the challenges facing producers across our province.
The federal government announced it's ready to invest $100 million in its share of AgriRecovery programs.
