Manitoba Beef Producers fall district meetings wrapped up this week.
General Manager Carson Callum says there was plenty of good discussion.
"I think drought was the main focus and everything from actions taken in drought to current support levels and what things are going to look like moving forward was really the main focus," he commented. "A lot of secondary conversations around Crown Lands, that's a common issue, and other things like public trust within the sector and the importance of beef and the environment, especially with all these climate change discussions happening globally. There was a lot of discussion had on the importance of the beef sector in that regard."
This year's meetings were held both virtually and in-person. Elections were held in even numbered districts.
