Manitoba AgTech Event Connects Innovators and Investors

Jan 09, 2025

We had the privilege of collaborating with Bioscience Association Manitoba (BAM), EMILI, and North Forge to host the first-ever Manitoba AgTech Investor Connections event. This event was all about building bridges: between innovators and investors, ideas and opportunities, and the present and future of AgTech in Manitoba.

This invite-only gathering provided a welcoming, informal setting where AgTech startups and established companies could meet with leaders in the funding community. Investors joined forces with entrepreneurs to discuss how innovative ideas can grow into transformative technologies for Manitoba’s agriculture sector.

The power of partnership
Partnerships are the foundation of a thriving innovation ecosystem. Events like these highlight the power of collaboration, showcasing what’s possible when organizations work together to support local innovators.

Manitoba is full of talented entrepreneurs and bold ideas, but scaling a business and bringing new technologies to market takes more than just hard work—it takes a community of support. That’s why initiatives like Manitoba AgTech Investor Connections are so important. By fostering relationships between investors and startups, we’re creating the conditions for growth, innovation, and shared success across the province.

The energy in the room
Walking into the event, you could feel the energy buzzing. Innovators had the chance to share their visions, while funders provided insights into their priorities and investment strategies. It was a meeting of minds that left everyone inspired and optimistic about the future of AgTech in Manitoba.

This event was about more than just networking—it was about building relationships that will drive Manitoba’s agricultural innovation forward. While making that initial connection is critical, maintaining those relationships is just as important. For that, we need entrepreneurs to stay active and engaged in Manitoba’s vibrant ecosystem.
