After taking a year off due to COVID, Manitoba Ag Ex returned to the Keystone Centre in Brandon last week.
The event wrapped up on Saturday.
Co-Chair Dallas Johnston says they were happy to have cattle back in the barns, adding the mood amongst exhibitors was also positive.
"Extremely happy to be back in the barns visiting with people that they haven't seen in a while, and it was like getting back in the routine of showing cattle and promoting your product. Everybody was happy to see everybody and it was a fun time."
Johnston expects many of the cattle that won in Brandon will be in contention at Agribition in Regina coming up later this month. He adds a highlight for him was the junior event that was held on Saturday, with about 60 kids participating.
Cattle numbers and attendance were down this year, but that was something organizers were expecting.
Manitoba Ag Ex is the province's largest all breeds cattle show.
Next up for the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba is the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair, which is scheduled to take place in March 2022.
