While beef deserves to be celebrated year-round, Beef Month offers a prime opportunity for the Kansas Beef Council (KBC) to kick off summer grilling season, reach consumers with new promotions and highlight why beef remains a popular choice for many.
Research shows that beef is the top protein consumers choose for their grills. Throughout May, KBC is running a statewide digital campaign featuring Instagram Reels about different steak cuts, do-it-yourself marinade tutorials and more. These efforts highlight beef’s versatility, answer common consumer questions and inspire shoppers to choose beef first when lighting the grill.
KBC also is going beyond the grill to reach diverse audiences this month by partnering with Hy-Vee grocery stores to showcase how beef fits within a Mediterranean-style diet and by hosting a Strava Cow Contest. Participants in the contest, including runners and cyclists, map cow-shaped routes on their fitness apps for a chance to win beef prizes. It’s a fun and unexpected way to put beef top of mind during outdoor activities.
