KAP Launches 'Growing Manitoba Together' Campaign

May 07, 2020
Keystone Agricultural Producers (KAP) has launched “Growing Manitoba Together”, a campaign to thank the thousands of Manitobans in the supply chain who are working to ensure that food continues to make its way to homes across the province and around the world amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Getting food from our farms to your table requires an entire team of dedicated and hard-working Manitobans doing their part each and every day,” said KAP President Bill Campbell. “Growing Manitoba Together is our way of saying thank you to the thousands of Manitobans who are uniting us around our shared goal.”

KAP will be distributing “Growing Manitoba Together” stickers across Manitoba and throughout the supply chain, encouraging people to share their story on social media about how they, or someone they know, are helping to grow our great province using the hashtag #mbgrow. KAP is also encouraging children to draw, paint, and color posters to celebrate food and where it comes from to share on social media.

Over the coming weeks, KAP will be thanking groups like truck drivers, grocery store employees, railway workers, restaurants owners and their staff, meat and food processors, farm suppliers, and individual commodity groups who have stepped up to support Manitobans. As well, KAP will be applauding the front-line workers who are keeping Manitobans safe during this unprecedented time.

“Food has a way of bringing people together, and that’s a lesson COVID-19 has reinforced for all of us,” Campbell added. “We look forward to being able to share meals together again soon, but for now, we celebrate the most important part of any meal, giving thanks for those who got it to our table in the first place.”
