John Deere has introduced AutoTrac™ technology for customers who want a little extra guidance with the AutoTrac Controller 300 Steering Kit. The after-market steering kit is customizable to different types, ages, and brands of ag machines, and does not impact operator ergonomics or steering wheel modifications.

“We know that not all farmers operate new John Deere machines factory equipped with AutoTrac,” said John Mishler, precision ag marketing manager for John Deere. “This solution is compatible with many newer Deere vehicles not already equipped with AutoTrac, as well as older machines and other equipment brands. It integrates with a John Deere precision ag display and StarFire™ receiver for a complete guidance system and a consistent John Deere Precision Ag experience across the entire fleet.”

Let’s take a closer look at some of the benefits and features of the AutoTrac Controller 300 Steering Kit.

Simple Installation

Any dealer can simply install and calibrate the AutoTrac Controller 300 Steering Kit without making modifications to the operator area. It utilizes hydraulic and electrical components that provide quick guidance line acquisition with the feel of an integrated system.

Reduced Skips and Overlaps

With the AutoTrac Controller 300 Steering Kit, operators can rest assured that they are reducing skips and overlaps, which ultimately lower input costs for fuel, fertilizer, and seed at the end of the day.

Gen 4 AutoTrac

The AutoTrac Controller 300 Steering Kit uses the Generation 4 AutoTrac guidance system. This means operators can maintain the optimal working speed for their operation while enhancing machine performance throughout the day. Soil compaction is also reduced, and emerging crops are protected using this system.

Cab Experience

Operators get to maintain their original cab experience with the AutoTrac Controller 300 Steering Kit – no gauges are blocked, and there is no extra noise. Furthermore, operators don’t have to worry about hitting their legs on steering wheel add-ons.
