GrainsConnect Canada To Build Massive Concrete Elevator In Maymont, SK

Jul 13, 2016
A 30-million dollar grain terminal is being built at Maymont, about 90 kilometers northwest of Saskatoon.

GrainsConnect Canada has chosen the site for one of two proposed grain terminals in Saskatchewan.

The company is a partnership of GrainCorp of Australia and Japanese-based Zen-noh.

The joint venture will build four concrete elevators with loop track rail systems, starting in the spring or early summer of 2016.

GrainsConnect already has approval to build one of its facilities near Niobe, Alta., just north of Innisfail.

Agriculture minister Lyle Stewart says it is good news for farmers.
