Fed cattle prices have remained fairly steady over the past few weeks.
Brian Perillat is a senior market analyst with Canfax.
"Kind of in that transition between the yearlings getting cleaned up and now waiting on some of the fed calves to come ready over the next month," he said. "Supplies have been pretty manageable but packers have pretty decent inventory and keeping the line around that $160 per hundred weight for fed cattle in western Canada."
Perillat says the 75 cent dollar has been supportive for cattle prices here in Canada.Source : Steinbachonline
