Faba Bean Feed Benchmark

Prices for most of the main grain and protein commodities continued to remain relatively stable throughout the Prairies over the past two weeks. Barley and corn prices weakened slightly in Manitoba while remaining unchanged in Saskatchewan and Alberta.
 
Wheat prices remained unchanged. Corn DDGS values remained unchanged in Manitoba and Alberta with slight increases  in Saskatchewan. Soybean meal values remained unchanged  in Manitoba, but decreased by $5- $10/T in Saskatchewan and Alberta.
 
Canola meal prices slide by $10/T in Manitoba and $17/T in Saskatchewan while remaining unchanged in Alberta. Feed peas and faba beans continued to  trade in the range of $245-250 in Manitoba with values in Saskatchewan and Alberta in the $235-240 range. Feed grade peas continue to be scarce and most pulses being used in feeds are now faba beans.
