The National Dairy Farmers Assuring Responsible Management (FARM) Program has announced the recipients of its 2023 FARM Excellence Awards. This annual event, in its third iteration, honors the exceptional achievements of farms and evaluators who excel in their commitment to the dairy industry.
Ingleside Dairy Farm, Inc. of Virginia, part of Dairy Farmers of America, received the award for Animal Care & Antibiotic Stewardship. They have been recognized for their significant efforts in creating a conducive environment for dairy cows and serving as a model for farms in the Southeast.
Newmont Farm LLC in Vermont, associated with Agri-Mark, Inc., was honored for Workforce Development. Their dedication to ensuring employee safety and communicating safety measures effectively earned them this accolade.
Jim Kauffman, representing Associated Milk Producers Inc., was named Evaluator of the Year for his exceptional commitment to the farms he works with and for promoting the FARM Program within the dairy community.
Additionally, a Dairy Farmers of America farm, which chose to remain unnamed, was recognized for Environmental Stewardship, reflecting the broad spectrum of excellence in the dairy industry.
These awards were presented during the Joint Annual Meeting of the National Dairy Promotion and Research Board, National Milk Producers Federation, and United Dairy Industry Association in Florida.
Initiated in 2021, the FARM Excellence Awards highlight the relentless pursuit of excellence in the dairy sector.
