Empowering Women in Agriculture: WI Farm Discovery Center Hosts Extension Program in April

Mar 21, 2023

The Wisconsin Farm Discovery Center is set to host an extension program aimed at promoting women's involvement in agriculture. The "Women in Agriculture" program, which will take place in April, seeks to empower women in the farming and food production industry by providing them with tools and resources to succeed in a traditionally male-dominated field.

The program will feature a range of activities, including workshops, seminars, and networking events, all designed to help women develop the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the agriculture industry. Topics will cover everything from business management and marketing to soil health and sustainability.

Participants will also have the opportunity to hear from successful women in agriculture, who will share their stories and offer advice on how to overcome the challenges they face. This will include farmers, researchers, educators, and other professionals who have made significant contributions to the industry.

The "Women in Agriculture" program is part of a larger movement to promote gender equality in farming and food production. As more women become involved in agriculture, there is a growing recognition of the unique challenges they face, as well as the valuable perspectives and skills they bring to the table.

By participating in this program, women can take an important step towards achieving their goals in the agriculture industry. They will gain access to a supportive community of like-minded individuals, as well as the knowledge and resources they need to succeed.
