The interactive map is an educational tool that allows people to learn about activities taking place on Innovation Farms and explore digital agriculture careers.
Before officially launching the interactive map in September 2024, a team from EMILI shared it with Grades 2, 3, and 4 students during Canadian Agriculture Literacy Month. The students were fascinated to learn how digital agriculture technology, including robots, drones, and soil sensors, are used to grow Manitoba crops.
“We hope that the interactive map will be a tool to help educators and others across the agri-food value chain increase understanding of the diverse career paths and agricultural technologies driving the future of agriculture,” said EMILI Communications Manager Jennifer Cox.
