Egg Farmers Applauded at White House

The 2025 White House Easter Egg Roll welcomed families and egg producers alike to celebrate Easter and recent agricultural achievements. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins took part in the festive event on the South Lawn, praising American egg farmers and their resilience over the past year.

The event served as a symbol of recovery, especially after egg producers and consumers faced serious challenges due to the bird flu outbreak. Avian influenza led to supply disruptions and sharp increases in egg prices. However, the situation has significantly improved in recent months.

Secretary Rollins credited the Government’s leadership and a strategic five-point plan for turning the tide. The plan was developed to combat avian flu and stabilize the egg supply. As a result of these efforts, wholesale egg prices have fallen by 56 percent just in time for the Easter season.

“The White House Easter Egg Roll is the yearly Super Bowl for eggs! Egg farmers and consumers were hit hard by the negative impacts of the bird flu this past year, but, thankfully under President Trump’s leadership, our five-point plan to combat avian flu and lower egg prices is working. Going into Easter weekend, wholesale egg prices are down 56 percent! This historic event is a great opportunity to celebrate this progress alongside America’s hard working egg farmers,” said Secretary Rollins.

The day was filled with smiles, colorful eggs, and strong appreciation for the people who produce them. Egg farmers joined in the celebration, proud to see their industry bounce back.

The 2025 Egg Roll reminded everyone how important agriculture is in our daily lives—and how recovery and resilience can come with the right support and teamwork.
