CNH and Starlink Team Up to Bring High-Speed Satellite Internet to the Field

Jun 10, 2025

In a major step forward for connected agriculture, CNH—parent company of Case IH, New Holland, and STEYR—has announced a new partnership with Starlink, SpaceX’s satellite internet division. The collaboration promises to deliver fast, reliable, and affordable satellite connectivity to farm operations globally, especially those located in rural or remote areas that often lack high-speed internet access.

The agreement will allow CNH customers to tap into Starlink’s low-latency internet network, enabling a new level of performance and uptime for connected equipment and precision technology platforms.

“We’re thrilled to offer our customers access to industry-leading satellite connectivity, enabling them to maximize the potential of our full suite of precision technology in even the most challenging rural environments,” said Stefano Pampalone, Agriculture Chief Commercial Officer at CNH.

Unlocking the Power of Precision Ag—Anywhere

With Starlink integrated into CNH’s FieldOps™ and FieldXplorer platforms, farmers gain real-time visibility and control over their machines and agronomic data, no matter where they’re operating. The constant connectivity enhances everything from machine coordination and fleet management to data streaming and prescription mapping.

One standout use case: prescription spraying. In areas with poor connectivity—such as parts of Brazil—data collected by drones to identify weeds vs. crops can now be transmitted instantly via satellite to create a spraying map. This allows for faster weed control, helping to preserve yield and improve application efficiency.

Why It Matters

For many producers, limited rural internet access has been a major barrier to fully realizing the benefits of precision ag tools. This partnership between CNH and Starlink removes that obstacle, ensuring that data-driven farming is accessible wherever it's needed.

Whether it’s automating tasks, remotely monitoring equipment, or sharing data across platforms, high-speed connectivity is now becoming a standard tool in the modern farmer’s toolbox.
