Earlier this year, the Chicken Farmers of Ontario (CFO) Board of Directors announced to all stakeholders that Rob Dougans, CFO’s President & CEO would be leaving the organization.

Effective as of March 24, 2021, Rob Dougans will no longer be with CFO.

The CFO Board has embarked on a leadership succession executive search, and the Board endeavours to welcome a new permanent Chief Executive Officer in due course.

In the interim, the Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Nailor.

Mike started his career with CFO in 1999 as the Board’s Economist. From there, Mike grew with the organization in various roles, ultimately ending his time with CFO as Director, Economics and Trade.
During his time with CFO, Mike played key roles in pricing and arbitration as well as producer and processor allocation policy matters.

Mike left CFO in 2006 to pursue a career opportunity with Monsanto, where he spent the next eight years in various roles including Trait Marketing Lead, National Sales Lead and Corn and Soybean Business Lead.

In late 2014, Mike joined Valent, a crop protection company based in California as Country Lead for Canada.

After five successful years leading the Valent Canada business, Mike left the corporate world to join his wife Brenda’s regulatory consulting business, Nailor Regulatory Consulting Inc. – where he offered guidance to global clients who were navigating pesticide registry within Health Canada.

Mike joined Nailor Regulatory Consulting as Vice President, Business Strategy and Marketing to support the core strengths of the business, and to expand the business to include strategic business consulting.

Mike is a graduate of the Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program (2003) and of Monsanto’s
prestigious Global Leadership Exchange (2011).
