Preference will be given to applicants who are active beef producers or have an agricultural background, although this is not mandatory.
Interested students must submit the following to the Canadian Beef Check-Off Agency:
- An application form
- A link to a creative video (maximum two minutes) showcasing how their agricultural background and education can contribute to the future of Canada’s beef and veal industry. The video must be posted on YouTube and marked as public
- An official acceptance letter or current enrollment document from a designated post-secondary institution
The recipient will be chosen based on the video content and their commitment to improving and growing Canada’s beef and veal industry in innovative ways. Knowledge of Canada’s national beef strategy, check-off system, and national organization is preferred.
