The North Dakota Grape and Wine Advisory Committee, under the guidance of Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring, is currently accepting proposals for research, promotion, and marketing projects aimed at advancing the grape, fruit, and wine industry in the state.
An allocation of $80,000 has been designated for industry research and promotion for the 2023-2025 biennium. Qualified applicants are encouraged to apply and present their proposals to the advisory committee. Grant criteria include assessing the potential impact on the industry, effectiveness in enhancing competitiveness, expected measurable outcomes, feasibility of the work plan, alignment with project objectives and timelines, geographical considerations, and potential applications for multiple products.
Detailed instructions and application forms can be found at www.ndda.nd.gov/grapewinefruit. The deadline for submitting proposals is 4 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
Applicants whose proposals are deemed eligible will be invited to present their projects to the advisory committee. Each presentation will have a time limit of up to 20 minutes, followed by a question-and-answer session.
Upon reviewing the proposals, the advisory committee will provide recommendations to the Agriculture Commissioner regarding the allocation of grants.
This call for proposals presents a valuable opportunity for individuals and organizations to contribute to the growth and development of North Dakota's grape, fruit, and wine industry.
