Biobest Acquires Ecoation Crop Tools
Biobest, a division of the BioFirst Group known for biocontrol and natural pollination solutions, has expanded its role in integrated pest management (IPM) automation by acquiring key technology and expert staff from its external partner, Ecoation Innovative Solutions Inc.
This move brings Ecoation’s advanced crop monitoring tools—Crop-Scanner™ and OKO 2 IPM and yield prediction system—under Biobest’s direct control. The agreement also includes associated intellectual property rights. With this acquisition, Biobest ensures the continuous availability of these tools to growers worldwide and strengthens its portfolio of high-tech horticulture solutions.
The newly acquired technology and expert team will now be part of Biobest’s global High-Tech Development and Customer Success Center. This step supports Biobest’s strategic commitment to offering advanced IPM tools and solutions that assist growers in improving their crop management through automation and data-driven insights.
