CEO Chris Lane says the 2019 show brought in over 120 thousand people and a profit of over $325 thousand dollars.

President Chris Lees says CWA's long-term sustainability is more important than ever right now.

"In 2019, we invested in the show, brought in new programming, and continued to put our exhibitors, visitors, and partners first."

Last year's show welcomed over 10,000 students and visitors from 86 different countries.

Lane says Agribition puts a lot of effort into welcoming International buyers and it pays off.

"We've had, you know, close to 300 international buyers and over 1300 international guests attend Agribition in 2019.  Really the attendance figures are impressive, but even more impressive is the amount of dollars that they're willing to invest in Canadian agricultural producers who are at Agribition and that number is well over a million dollars again."

Lane notes the sales ring overall brought in a total of $2 million dollars in 2019.

2019 also saw Canadian Western Agribition making a $100,000 contribution to the Livestock and Forage Centre of Excellence and raised over $80,000 for CWA's official charity STARS Air Ambulance.

Earlier this month organizers announced the postponement of the 2020 show, it's 50th, to 2021 due to COVID-19.

Lane says they are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to Agribition and developing new programming for the event.
