Program Highlights
• Leadership skills development:
- Identify and advance farm issues that matters to you
- Improve your presentation skills
- Learn to chair meetings, negotiate, and find solutions
- Meet other young producers who share your concerns
• Mentorship by experienced Saskatchewan farm leaders
• Attend the APAS Annual General Meeting in Regina, November 27-29, 2018
• Attend the Canadian Federation of Agriculture AGM in Ottawa, February 27
– March 1, 2019
• Talk with current and previous farm leaders and provincial and federal
leaders and ministers
• The opportunity to join the APAS Young Agricultural ProducersCommittee and
participate in other policy committees
Eligibility Criteria
• Between 18 and 39 years of age as of November 1, 2018
• An active agricultural producer
• Available approximately 12-14 days from November 2018 to August 2019
Expenses
• All approved travel expenses, including accommodation, meals, and mileage will
be reimbursed based on APAS rates

• Application deadline is 11:59 pm on October 31, 2018
