Celebrating a decade of building stronger communities, Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) and local Co-ops across Western Canada are once again offering $1 million in funding through the Co-op Community Spaces program. This initiative supports capital projects focused on recreation, environmental conservation, and urban agriculture.
"Marking the program's 10th year is a chance to recognize how Co-op Community Spaces empowers us to build sustainable communities together," says Pam Skotnitsky, FCL's Vice-President of Strategy. "The 175 projects funded so far have protected nature, provided urban gardens, and created spaces for recreation and connection."
Since its launch, the program has invested a total of $12.5 million in 175 projects across Western Canada, ranging from educational spaces and community gardens to recreational facilities and more.
