Ball Mustard weeds generally look very similar to other mustard plants, except the seeds are in a ball-like pouch. Family: Brassicaceae Ball Mustard Scouting and Prevention:Good drainage will help prevent Ball Mustard weeds from establishing themselves in fields. This weed in particular, tends to grow in damp clay like soils. This particular weed also does not flourish in dry hot climates or fields, and would not last in drought like conditions. Ball Mustard Control:Mowing is an effective way to help control the growth of Ball Mustard weeds, as long as the mowing is done before the seed sets.
