Director, Irrigation and Farm Water Division, Alberta Agric and Forestry.Brent Paterson discusses the world trends in food and water demands. Canada is one of 5 countries with the potential to significantly increase food production. Alberta has strong potential from its rainfed and irrigated agriculture. But Alberta also must address production, marketing and resource mgmt to seize the opportunity. Paterson makes some specific recommendations for Alberta`s agrifood industry.
