The Farms.com Precision Agriculture Conference & Ag Tech Showcase is a place for farmers, agribusinesses, agronomists and precision agriculture enthusiasts to network and learn about the diverse range of current precision ag technologies and practices, as well as what can be expected in the future.

This year, the location is changing to accommodate a bigger and better conference, with new stomping grounds at the Best Western Premier, Calgary Plaza & Conference Centre in Calgary, Alberta, on November 26-27, 2019. Previously, the conference was held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, which brought together more than 350 precision ag enthusiasts and more than 25 precision agribusinesses.

About the Conference

“This will be the third year Farms.com holds it Precision Agriculture Conference in Western Canada, and we feel grain farmers are well-positioned to see the benefits of implementing precision agriculture techniques on their farms,” says Andrew Bawden, Farms.com Sales Manager. “Farms.com wanted to ensure that we are reaching as many farmers and agronomists in Western Canada as possible, so Calgary was the logical choice as the province of Alberta has the largest number of farms in our country’s western provinces.”

So, why should you attend?

The conference focuses on the use of technology to more effectively use inputs, reduce waste and decrease the negative environmental impacts, all while strengthening the bottom line for producers. The focus of the conference itself is not just on technology, but rather discussing what data gathered by the technology is important, the interpretation of that data, and how that data can be implemented on the farm to continue to improve in the future.
