USPS Celebrates Kansas' Tractor Heritage with Special Postmark

2025 Antique Tractor Preservation Day Marked with Unique Postmark

The United States Postal Service is set to commemorate Antique Tractor Preservation Day 2025 with a special pictorial postmark, designed to honor America’s rich agricultural history and the ongoing efforts to preserve vintage tractors. 

This initiative, supported by a resolution from the Kansas House Legislature (HR 6011), highlights the Postal Service’s commitment to celebrating national heritage events.  

The exclusive postmark, designed by Michael Hinton, founder of Antique Tractor Preservation Day, will be available on August 22, 2025, at the Hutchinson, KS Post Office and through mail order requests. 

Pictorial postmarks are a tradition dating back to the 1950s, used by the USPS to commemorate significant local and national events. These postmarks provide a unique stamp on correspondence that captures the essence of special occasions. 

“Corn farmers are at the forefront of determining the value of new technologies, and drones are a great example of that,” said Russell Williams, chair of NCGA’s Production and Sustainability Action Team. The survey sponsored by NCGA aims to shape the future usage and policies of drone technology in agriculture, ensuring the benefits reach all corners of the sector. 

The process to obtain this commemorative postmark involves sending a stamped envelope or postcard to the specified address in Hutchinson, with requests postmarked no later than 30 days after the event date. 

Antique Tractor Preservation Day was established to spotlight the importance of maintaining agricultural machinery that has played a crucial role in farming history.  

The event not only celebrates this heritage but also educates the public and fosters a sense of community among enthusiasts and the general public alike.
