To file a report, producers need to provide detailed information including crop type, intended use, planting dates, acreage, irrigation practices, crop boundaries, and any prevented planting acreage.
Exceptions apply:
Farmers can report prevented planted acreage due to natural disasters using Form CCC-576 within 15 days of the final planting date.
Producers with perennial forage crops may be eligible for continuous certification, which carries acreage forward annually unless changed.
The farmers.gov portal provides producers access to their farm records and maps. With a login.gov account linked to a USDA record, farmers can view, print, and upload geospatial data for precision farming.
Producers may also submit electronic acreage reports through approved providers using geospatial data. They should inform their local FSA office if they wish to use these files for official reporting.
To learn more or schedule an appointment, producers should visit fsa.usda.gov or contact their local USDA Service Center.
