On June 26, 2024, the UFA Co-operative celebrated the grand opening of its new Petroleum Agency in Corman Park, Saskatchewan. Conveniently located five kilometres northwest of Saskatoon on Highway 16 and the Yellowhead Highway, the site is easily accessible for members and customers.
The grand opening celebration includes speeches from the Honourable David Buckingham, MLA, Saskatoon Westview; Judy Harwood, Reeve, Rural Municipality of Corman Park; Kevin Hoppins, Board Chair, UFA; and Don Smith, Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, UFA.
“This new location in Corman Park demonstrates our continued investment in the province of Saskatchewan. Thanks to our petroleum expansion, members and customers can access the most sophisticated and advanced cardlock network in western Canada. We thank the Corman Park, Dalmeny, Langham, Martensville, Osler, Saskatoon, and Warman communities for their cooperation and support,” said UFA's Smith.
The cardlock fueling stations are designed with large commercial vehicles in mind to allow more space and ease of access for drivers. Cardlock fueling sites can be accessed 24/7/365 through an automated, unmanned system.
The site offers many enhancements, including high-speed satellite fuel pumps and DEF (diesel exhaust fluid to reduce the harmful pollutants emitted by diesel engines).
It is in a prime location accessible with wide lanes and an expansive parking lot, and it is stocked with UFA and Shell-branded lubricant products. As the exclusive distributor of Dieselex Gold, customers can fill up with the top-tier product engineered to enhance fuel efficiency, reduce maintenance, and increase power. In addition, there are contemporary shower and washroom facilities for the convenience of members and customers.
UFA Corman Park Petroleum Agents Dustin and Paige Wiebe are thrilled with the new location and said, “We’ve been in the petroleum business for many years, and this site exceeds expectations. We’ve had a lot of positive customer feedback, and we look forward to continuing to provide customer service excellence at a state-of-the-art facility.”
Added Smith, “The success of the farmers and ranchers we serve is why we strive for continuous improvement. UFA has been an integral part of Alberta’s history for 115 years, and we hope to bring the same value to the province of Saskatchewan for decades. Along with looking at new investment opportunities, giving back to rural communities is essential, ensuring they thrive well into the future.”
At the event, UFA provided a $1,000 donation to the local food bank.
