This collaboration aims to promote a fair and open international trading environment, benefiting Canadian farmers, producers, and processors.

“We’re proud to welcome Seeds Canada as a Friend of CAFTA,” said Greg Northey, President of CAFTA. “Their expertise in the seed industry will add significant value to our efforts to champion trade policies that open doors for Canadian farmers and agri-food exporters. Together, we can continue driving growth and opportunity for Canadian agriculture in global markets.”

Seeds Canada represents stakeholders across the seed industry, focusing on innovation and ensuring access to high-quality seeds. By aligning with CAFTA, the organization supports efforts to enhance global market access for Canadian agriculture.

“We are excited to join CAFTA, aligning our efforts to promote a more open and equitable international trading environment for our members, and all of agriculture and agri-food" said Brent Collins, Seeds Canada President. "By partnering with CAFTA, we look forward to collectively enhancing trade opportunities and supporting the growth of Canada's agriculture sector."

This partnership reflects the vital role of trade advocacy in maintaining Canada’s position as a leader in global agriculture.
