The southwest region of the province has planted the most with 58 per cent of crops. The southeast has planted 51 per cent; 26 per cent in west-central Saskatchewan; 23 per cent in the northeast; 21 per cent in the northwest and 17 per cent in the east-central region.
Saskatchewan has its cropland topsoil moisture rated as two per cent surplus, 74 per cent adequate, 21 per cent short and three per cent very short.
Hay land and pasture topsoil moisture is rated as one per cent surplus, 61 per cent adequate, 32 per cent short and six per cent very short.
