Precision Planting’s Automated Solution for Efficient Soil Sampling and Nutrient Analysis
Precision Planting is at it again, this time with an automated soil testing and nutrient management system.
Radicle Agronomics is designed to address the challenge of nutrient management.
You invest heavily in fertilizers, but determining the actual yield benefit can be difficult, Dale Koch, product manager at Precision Planting, told Farms.com.
Radicle Agronomics provides an automated solution, streamlining the process and ensuring more accurate and efficient soil testing.
One of the key components of this platform is GeoPress, a device designed to simplify soil sampling.
GeoPress automates tasks that were previously tedious and time-consuming. It blends the soil sample, packs it into a reusable container, caps it, and marks the location on an RFID tag.
This automated process eliminates the need for bagging, tagging, and manual data recording, significantly improving fieldwork efficiency.
The platform also includes the Radicle Lab, the world’s first fully automated soil testing laboratory. Once samples are collected using GeoPress, they are placed on a rack and loaded for analysis on the Radicle Lab.
This lab guarantees precision and accuracy by automating the entire testing process. Traditional commercial labs often cut corners for efficiency, but Radicle Agronomics ensures that all steps are carefully completed, producing the most accurate soil test results.
Finally, the platform uses microflow technology to analyze soil samples. This technology automates the work usually done by lab technicians, extracting nutrients and measuring their concentration.
The results are available within 15 minutes of the first sample entering the lab, allowing you to quickly apply fertilizers and increase efficiencies.
Radicle Agronomics ensures faster, more accurate testing, helping you manage your nutrient inputs efficiently.
