Shortly after an open letter that was sent from Ontario PC Agriculture Critic Ernie Hardeman to Agriculture Minister Ted McMeekin urging the Minister to reveal the number of appeals that have been processed for Agricrop’s AgriStability program, they finally released them. According to the minister, the committee has reviewed 43 cases out of over 99 thousand applications since 2007 and out of those 43, more than half (23) sided with Agricrop. In 5 cases Agricrop accepted the committee’s decision, but upheld its original decision with the other 7. There are currently 8 cases still that haven’t been decided upon.
