His campaign included a Freedom and Opportunity Agenda to support farmers and rural residents.
The other pieces of that plan include protecting farmland and building out reliable connectivity.
Representation from a farm group helped create the bill.
Kendell Culp, a State Rep. and vice president of the Indiana Farm Bureau, wrote the legislation.
“If farmers can come together and take advantage of those things, I think it helps them advance their operation,” he said, WRTV reported.
