With less than 2% of the population directly involved in farming, it’s natural for people to have questions about where their food comes from. The National Cattleman’s Beef Association is working to bridge this gap with the creation of the National Beef Ambassador Program and Masters in Beef Advocacy.

These programs are designed to equip industry leaders with the tools that they need in order to be affective communicators. The Masters in Beef Advocacy is sponsored by the Beef Checkoff program and can be completed entirely online enrolled as a group class or on one’s own personal schedule. The Masters is accessible to beef producers or those involved in the beef industry and it’s completely free of cost for participants. There are a total of six courses in order to achieve the MBA, including:

• Modern Beef Production – Sharing the many benefits of modern, efficient U.S. beef production
• Animal Care – Explaining our commitment to raising healthy animals
• Beef Safety – Communicating why producing safe food for consumers is a top priority
• Beef Nutrition – Explaining how great-tasting beef strengthens and sustains our bodies
• Environmental Stewardship – Sharing how we’re protecting the environment for future generations
• The Beef Checkoff – Communicating the value of your investment in growing demand for beef
