Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Aug 09, 2024

The week of Aug 05, 2024 saw the price of live cattle end at 181.15. Compared to last week’s ending price of 182.075 the price of live cattle dropped by 0.5%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Aug 08, 2024 when the price was at 178.025.

In the span of a month, the price of live cattle dropped by 1.2%. At this time last month, live cattle was at 183.3 and have since dropped to 181.15.

Live cattle has also seen price drops since last year. Around this time in 2023, live cattle prices were at 185.4. The change in prices from last year equal a decrease of 2.3%.
