Lean Hogs Commodity Update for the Week Ending Dec 23, 2022

Lean hogs closed out the week of Dec 19, 2022 at 87.825. Between last week’s price of 85.775 and today’s numbers, the price of lean hogs increased by 2.4%.

On Dec 22, 2022, lean hogs was at its highest point with a price of 89.05.

In the span of a month, the price of lean hogs dropped by 1.1%. At this time last month, they were at 88.8 and have since dropped to 87.825.

Lean hogs have also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2021, the price was at 78.875. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 11.3%.
