The solution, using ChatGPT or other open AI language models, is designed for the ag sector to help operators access different pieces of information.
The AI will be able to generate weather reports, for example.
“It’s using AI to analyze existing data and tailor it for the region, for the customer, with their crop. That’s the goal,” Son said, adding that farmers in Korea are already using this technology.
Embracing AI is part of KIOTI’s future goals to transform into a total solutions provider, he added.
Another element of KIOTI Connect in the works is its ability to track the equipment’s work cycle.
Collected data will help customers and dealers stay on top of upcoming maintenance requirements to prevent unforeseen breakdowns, Son said.
The app is currently compatible with equipment in newer KIOTI’s RX and HX lineups, as well as compact construction machines.
Conversations are underway about retrofit kits for older equipment.
Customers can sign up for a free three-year period, at which time they can choose to purchase a subscription.
KIOTI’s plan is to expand KIOTI Connect to all of its equipment by the end of 2025.
