“Thousands of volunteers come together to put this magnitude of event on,” Faulkner said. “It’s the only event that legislature shuts down for two days for.”

Faulkner outlined many of the marquis events including parades, exhibitors and food vendors.
“We have the RCMP musical ride coming on Tuesday and Wednesday,” he said. “We have the Dodge RAM rodeo and (Knights of Valour) jousting.”
“It’s going to be a magnificent event. There’s going to be something for everyone, rural and urban.”
The IPM runs from Tuesday, September 20 to Saturday, September 24. Faulkner expects the last day to be the busiest.
“It tends to be the largest day because families can bring their kids without having to take them out of school,” he said.
More information about the show can be found on the IPM’s website.
