New Produce Safety Roadmap Gains IFPA Support

The International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) recently expressed its support for the release of the Reagan-Udall Foundation’s “Roadmap to Produce Safety: A Conceptual Framework.” This report outlines a comprehensive approach to improving produce safety across the industry, and IFPA praised the collaborative nature of the effort.

The roadmap resulted from a produce safety dialogue involving over 170 stakeholders, who participated in eight working groups. These participants included representatives from the FDA, industry professionals, and regulatory experts.
