Grey Bruce Farmers’ Week marks 60 years with expanded program and livestream option

From beef and dairy to crops and small ruminants, this milestone event combines education, networking, and on-demand content for producers across Ontario.

Grey Bruce Farmers’ Week (GBFW) celebrates its 60th anniversary January 7–12, 2026, continuing a tradition of agricultural learning and community connection. The event will be held in Elmwood, Ontario, at the Elmwood Community Centre, with the option to visit in-person or livestream from home.

This year’s program features six commodity days: Beef, Dairy, Goat, Sheep, Horse, and Crops, with sustainability themes woven throughout the week.

Attendees can explore a lively tradeshow, enjoy hearty meals—including roast beef, goat, and lamb—and pick up exclusive 60th anniversary GBFW swag.

Keynote presentations include:

• Beef Day: Anne Wasko on Beef Market Outlook;
• Dairy Day: Dr. Jodi Wallace on Improving Dairy Herd Fertility – Genomics and Beyond;
• Goat Day: Jelle Vogels and Maksym Baranok on Maximizing Return Over Feed;
• Sheep Day: Justin Woodward on Solar Grazing, and Steven Rosvold on Training and Using Herding Dogs;
• Horse Day: Dr. Ian Bishop on Equine Dentistry;
• Crops Day: Cody Hammer and Ryan Nichols on Road Safety in the Agricultural Industry.

Tickets are $50 per day (in-person or livestream), $120 for any three-day bundle, or $160 to livestream the full week. All tickets include 30-day online access to recordings and on-demand presentations.
