The largest outdoor ag show in the U.S., the Farm Progress Show, takes place in Boone, Iowa, from Aug. 27 to 29.

The show features over 600 exhibitors to showcase new tech and products, provide networking opportunities and knowledge transfer between attendees.

Farms.com searched the web to bring farmers some important traffic and product information leading up to the show.

The event takes place at the Central Iowa Expo Center at 1827 217th Street.

To prepare for the increased traffic and the estimated 150,000 visitors, the Boone Police Department announced multiple road closures.

The southbound Airport Road/Cpl. Snedden Driver crossover at Highway 30, for example, will be closed all three days from 7am to 9am.

Boone Police are urging all drivers to be patient and accommodating.

“We understand these traffic changes are a nuisance to the public, but with your cooperation, we will limit the number of traffic accidents and injuries during this event,” the police department said in a statement. “Citizens are encouraged to call the Boone Police Department at 515-432-3456 for assistance planning their commutes to and from Boone during these dates.”

During the show farmers will be able to see offerings from multiple manufacturers.

Including new tires from at least two companies.

Ascenso Tires will have its new steel-belted MDR 1000 on display.

These tires are designed for tractors, sprayers, telehandlers backhoes.

The tire’s design provides low tire vibrations and stable ride. It also has a higher load-carrying capacity in all applications and improved puncture resistance.

And Trelleborg will showcase its sustainable tire solutions.

Its TM1 Eco Power Tire, for example, is made for both traditional and electric tractors, and is made from 65 percent recycled and bio-based materials.

The tire is available in 280/70R16 112A8 (112B) | 340/70R24 124D | 380/70R24 130D | and 480/70R30 147D.

Air Tractor will also be among the companies at the show.

The company will debut its AT-802A, the world’s largest single-engine ag aircraft.

It has a payload capacity of more than 9,000 pounds and an 800-gallon hopper. The aircraft is also capable of taking off and landing on rough surfaces like grass, dirt and gravel.

New Holland will have new products on display too.

Visitors to its booth can see a new Class 9 CR combine, a new telehandler series, upgrades to the T7 tractor line, and an all-new Forage Cruiser harvester.

In addition, New Holland will highlight its collaboration with BlueWhite, bringing autonomous solutions to New Holland tractors.

A full schedule and list of exhibitors can be found on the show’s website. Attendees can also download a mobile app.

A team from Farms.com will also be in attendance, conducting interviews with equipment reps about new machinery and tech.
