Key Focus Areas Include Sustainable Aviation Fuel, Labor Stability, and Trade Agreements
As American agriculture faces evolving challenges and opportunities, the American Farm Bureau Federation has set its 2025 policy priorities to support farmers and ranchers nationwide.
Delegates at the recent AFBF convention identified three major areas of focus - sustainable aviation fuel, labor stability, and trade agreements.
One of the top priorities is increasing the use of domestic feedstock for sustainable aviation fuel, creating additional opportunities for farmers. Labor concerns also took center stage, with discussions on stabilizing wages to avoid drastic changes that could affect agricultural businesses.
Trade was another critical topic, with strong support for reviewing the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). Delegates emphasized the need to maintain beneficial trade relationships while protecting the interests of American farmers.
