Beginning Friday, 24 of Europe’s best soccer nations will compete in the 2020 Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) European Championships, also known as the UEFA Euro Cup.
The tournament was originally scheduled to be played in June and July of last year but rescheduled because of the pandemic.
For those who may not be familiar, the tournament works as follows:
- The teams are divided into six groups of four teams each.
- Each group will compete in a round robin and the top two teams will advance to the knockout stage.
- The four best third-place teams will also qualify for the knockout stage.
- From there, each game is single elimination.
Soccer analysts have analyzed rosters and personnel trying to determine which country will hoist the Henri Delaunay trophy after the July 11 final.
Farms.com will try to predict the winner with ag-related information.
Using available data, Farms.com will determine the group and knockout stage winners with agriculture as a percentage of a country’s gross domestic product.
