New Holland and Raven Industries have partnered to donate precision agriculture education simulators to 11 FFA chapters across the country. The simulator will be used in the chapter's agricultural education program to help students learn about the latest precision technology and its applications in the field.
The simulator is compact and adaptable, making it easy to integrate into any learning environment. It features two essential components of Raven technology: the Viper® 4+ in-cab display and the RS1™ three-in-one GPS, connectivity, and autosteer sensor. These elements come together to create a realistic and immersive learning experience for students.
One of the recipients is Cedar Crest FFA of Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Beyond precision technology learning, the simulator will also help Cedar Crest FFA students, as well as similar FFA students in other chapters, isexplore potential career pathways in agriculture. The simulator will be used in the chapter's Integrated Pest Management unit, and students will have the opportunity to learn about the use of chemicals in controlling pests. They will also learn about the different careers in agriculture, from sales to agronomy to technology support.
